Job Details

The Pay and Rewards Manager will provide consultancy and services in reward and benefits that enable the University of Portsmouth to attract, retain and motivate staff in line with strategic objectives and regulatory standards.  Reporting to the Deputy Director of HR & Organisational Development and working within a broader HR team, this role will focus on maximising the value of the reward budget whilst ensuring the Reward practice is aligned to the University’s strategic and operational requirements. The remit is to implement the University’s strategic reward objectives through the management and ongoing review of reward and benefits policies, procedures and reports.

Proactively providing analysis, expertise and recommendations, which support the development of the University’s people capability. Plan and deliver reward projects, and develop employee communication and guidance on processes.

The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate experience of managing and developing reward and benefits policies including flexible benefits and an understanding of compliance and regulatory issues. Consultancy skills, analytical skills and project management as well as stakeholder management would be evident throughout your CV.

In person, the commitment to equality and diversity and your natural preference to share best practice knowledge with others will ideally be backed up by chartered membership of the CIPD.
