IPSA was created in 2009 to independently regulate and administer MPs’ pay, pensions, business costs and expenses. We are a small organisation with a significant responsibility for public money and the way it is spent. We manage a budget of £170m and are responsible for ensuring transparency and fairness in the way MPs are remunerated.

As well as administering MPs’ business costs and expenses, we run the payroll for all MPs and their staff – over 3,000 individuals – and are responsible for setting MPs’ pay and pensions.

This is a very exciting time to be joining IPSA as Head of HR, with a major transformation programme coming to life we need someone who will be able to carry forward the work done to date and continue to embed change, partnering with senior stakeholders across the organisation, helping to build on their success.  There is still much to do including rolling out improved performance management processes to encourage a high performing culture, as well as working with colleagues representing MPs’ staff to continue to develop and improve how we work together.

For further details or if you are interested in applying for this role, please send your covering letter and CV to hr@theipsa.org.uk setting out clearly how your background and experience meets the person specification.

If selected, you will be invited to a formal competency based interview where you will be asked to give a short presentation to the panel.

The successful candidate will need to go through a CTC (Counter Terrorism Check) security process.

Closing Date: Monday 15th April 2019

Interview Dates: 24th, 26th, 29th April 2019
