This is an exciting opportunity to use your first class organisational and administrative skills to play a key HR role in a renowned and well-regarded school.
Reporting to the Director of Finance and Operations, this key role will provide administrative HR support for recruitment, staff induction and the employee life cycle, as well as liaising with the GDST payroll department and assisting with first line HR enquiries.
Working closely with the Senior Leadership Team as well as with teachers, administrative staff, external agencies and applicants, this role requires the ability to work independently and as a member of a team.
Knowledge and experience within an HR function would be essential and experience of a school setting desirable. We are looking for an expert administrator and coordinator who is able to balance conflicting priorities and who has excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
If you have the passion to work in a leading independent day school, we would love to hear from you. In return, we will offer you a great community in which to work where ideas are welcomed.
Oxford High School is a member of the Girls’ Day School Trust, the largest provider of independent education in the UK. HR policies are provided by the GDST central office, who also offer all necessary specialist HR advice and guidance to the school.
Working at Oxford High School is stimulating, extremely varied and tremendous fun. As well as our commitment to girl’s education, we are committed to investing in our staff’s personal development through training and learning initiatives and via the GDST network.
We offer a variety of benefits, which include:
• Competitive salaries and pay progression
• Access to extensive professional development opportunities
• Training grants for qualifications
• Generous pension schemes
• Free life assurance benefit
• Free school lunches
• A discount of up to 50% on fees for children at GDST schools
