Cwm Taf Morgannwg University Health Board is at the heart of the community we serve, providing a wide range of high quality integrated hospital and community based health care services to people in Rhondda Cynon Taf, Merthyr Tydfil and, from April, to the people of Bridgend. From April we will employ around 12,500 people and hold an annual budget of circa £1 billion. We are by any measure a large, complex and person-centred organisation and our services and facilities are some of the most innovative and high performing in the Welsh health system. These include the ground-breaking Keir Hardie University Health Park combining health and social care under one roof.
This is a time of real opportunity and development for our Health Board. We welcome around 3,500 new colleagues from Bridgend this year and we are continuing our focus on improving the health and wellbeing of our populations and of our dedicated staff. Our new, Executive Director of Workforce and Organisational Development will join a dynamic Board team with a strong reputation for developing a culture of continual improvement. This role has a broad portfolio including workforce development, redesign and management, as well organisational development and clinical education and along with Board colleagues, corporate responsibility for our Health Board’s strategy and performance.
We are seeking an experienced leader who will bring a passion and vision to our transformation journey with transferable people management and organisational development skills. A collaborative leader, your track record of delivering change within a complex, customer focused environment will be essential. With significant Board leadership experience and excellent communication skills, you will quickly build credibility with staff, patients and our wider stakeholders. You will be central to leading our programme of workforce transformation and redesign and engaging stakeholders in the delivery of innovative solutions to our workforce challenges; supporting safe, sustainable and affordable services for the future. As one of only ten Directors of Workforce and OD in the Welsh Health system this role also offers a fantastic opportunity to contribute at a national level.
This is a challenging and rewarding role with the opportunity to improve the health and wellbeing of our staff and people living in the Cwm Taf Morgannwg area.
