Regional HR Advisor

Exciting opportunity for a home based regional HR Advisor covering the East of England.

Your new company

This organisation has been created to maintain the delivery of the Facilities Management services such as cleaning, reactive maintenance, landscaping and planned building repair work to 50 facilities across Greater London, South East, East and South West of England.The priority for the organisation is professional and effective service delivery to ensure essential repairs and maintenance are carried out in a timely manner to ensure the Health and Safety of staff and prisoners.

Your new role

You will be required to provide an excellent field-based HR advisory service to line managers requiring advice, support, guidance and training on people management issues, where appropriate, referring queries back to the advisory line. In the main, workload will be generated through referrals from the HR Advisory line which cannot be resolved remotely. This is a regional position covering all facilities in the East of England therefore the suitable candidate needs to be based in Cambridge. This position will require you to work from home with frequent travel to a number of different prisons in the East as well as meetings in London.

Key objectives of the role includes:

Provide guidance and practical expertise to line managers on policy related issues to ensure the best performance of both their team as a whole and the individuals within it - this includes providing support in disciplinaries, grievances, appeals and performance management issues. Ensure that the HRBP and line managers are fully supported with issues around organisational change and development, such as reorganisation, mobilisation/de-mobilisation, acquisitions and disposals, including ensuring 'due diligence' and effective communication. Actively contribute to the development and implementation of HR initiatives aimed at improving people management and business performance

What you'll need to succeed

* Degree educated or equivalent and CIPD level 3 qualified
* Previous unionised manufacturing or logistics industry experience
* Previous full site HR responsibility of a large site
* Outstanding ER and IR experience and delivery
* Excellent communication skills
* Leadership abilities and experience must have inspired and led an HR team
