Job Details
Hours: Flexible up to 21-28 hours per week (0.6-0.8FTE)
Location: Based at home with extensive UK travel
Salary: £48,780 (full time) pro rata. There may be opportunities to deliver additional fee-earning consultancy and training.
We are a not-for-profit HR consortium of 127 universities and colleges in our 25th year of operation. We provide our members across the UK with HERA and FEDRA, the leading role design and analysis products in Higher and Further Education, supported by expert consultancy and training.
Due to growing demand – we will support the first-time implementation of role analysis in a further 20 FE and HE organisations this year - we seek an experienced People Management/HR professional to join our four existing Member Engagement and Reward Consultants.
You will manage a portfolio of c. 20-25 member organisations in order to:
- build, maintain and develop successful working relationships with university and college HR teams
- analyse needs, respond to local resource and time requirements, and deliver consultancy and training on site
- prepare and deliver new business proposals for existing and new clients
We need professionals with a successful track record in a range of transformational People Management/HR practices such as job evaluation, pay and reward, talent management, organisational restructuring or development. Previous experience of the higher or further education sectors would be an advantage but not essential.
You will be self-motivated, organised and flexible so that you can work from home and different locations effectively to achieve individual and team objectives and meet project deadlines. You will be resilient, often working independently as well as collaboratively to share intelligence and expertise and develop ECC products and services. The role requires frequent travel and some overnight stays to visit member organisations and attend ECC meetings.

Closing date for applications 18 April. Interviews and candidate presentations will take place in London on 14 May 2019.
