Senior Employment Policy Advisor

Part Time : 21.9 hours per week (60% FTE)

The appointment will be on UCL Grade 7. The salary range will be £35,328 - £42,701 per annum, inclusive of London Allowance.

To ensure that our HR practices are fit for the future, we seek to recruit an HR professional who will be a key member of the Employment Policy team.  You will work alongside another Senior Employment Policy Advisor and will support the Head of Employment Policy in providing advice on HR policies and procedures; developing and reviewing current policies, procedures and governance frameworks.   

The role will involve keeping abreast of employment law updates; identifying improvements to policies and procedures; producing and presenting research and data; consulting with stakeholders on proposed changes; rolling out revised procedures and policies through communications and training sessions and undertaking project work.  You will be an ambassador of equality of opportunity and diversity in all aspects of work.

You will need up-to-date knowledge of UK employment law and practices and experience of advising on and developing employment policies within a large / complex organisation. You will need excellent communication skills to liaise and correspond with a wide range of colleagues.  A commitment to equality and diversity and an understanding of how this can be implemented within HR will be essential. In addition, you will need experience of managing your own projects, delivering to tight deadlines.
