and influencing skills? 
Do you have a background in a role with a strong focus on equality, diversity and inclusion? 
Do you have a strong knowledge of legislative, regulatory and good practice standards in the
field? 
It`s an exciting time to join our HR team due to realignment to meet our continued growth. 
The UK Atomic Energy Authority have an excellent opportunity for an equality, diversity and
inclusion partner/manager to join their team within the HR department. The team consists of
circa 30 employees and are responsible for supporting UKAEA employees through recruitment,
development, apprenticeships, graduate scheme, payroll and management activities. 
Key accountabilities/responsibilities include 
-Delivering UKAEA`s equality, diversity and inclusion strategy 
-Leading and championing culture change within UKAEA to ensure that equality, inclusion, and
diversity are fully supported. 
-Drive diversity initiatives and share best practices (internally and externally) 
-Coaching colleagues to increase understanding of EDI issues 
-Work closely with and influence managers at all levels on equality and diversity issues to
ensure consistency of approach throughout the organisation 
-Chair the Inclusion Ambassadors Forum as well as manage the Athena SWAN Project

The UKAEA hosts and manages the JET nuclear fusion energy experiment on behalf of the EU
and is also home to the UK`s MAST-U fusion energy experiment. UKAEA also works with
industry and other third parties to develop new technologies currently in remote handling and
materials research. Following recent UK funding two new centres of excellence in tritium fuel
handling and component testing and validation are being built. The culture at UKAEA promotes

Knowledge skills and experience 
Essential 
- Educated to degree level or equivalent relevant experience 
- Demonstrable understanding in equality and diversity/unconscious bias 
- Strong influencing capability at all levels (especially senior management level) 
- Experience of team working/conflict resolution/negotiation and persuasion/presentation skills 
- Strong interest in the legislative, regulatory and good-practice standards in this field 
Desirable 
- Demonstrable experience of strategy implementation 
- Proven track record in effecting/facilitating organisational culture change 
- Familiarity with the ECU equality framework would be an advantage 
Special requirements: 
Please note all employees working at the UK Atomic Energy Authority will be required to
complete an online Disclosure Certificate application as part of their clearance - The Disclosure
& Barring Service (DBS) checks will show the details of all current criminal convictions
(convictions considered unspent under the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974) or will confirm
that there are no such convictions. 
Selection Methods: 
As part of the selection process you may be expected to complete work-based simulation
exercises and a personality profile either online or onsite.
