Our workforce programme presents an exciting opportunity for you to deliver responsive, cost effective HR solutions, including qualitative and quantitative research, benchmarking and formulation of recommendations, including engagement and consultation with stakeholders such as senior managers, staff and trade unions.
As well as co-ordinating the HR work programme on behalf of the HR service, you will undertake project work on any area related to the Council’s workforce strategy in areas including general workforce management and development, resourcing, talent, wellbeing, equalities, process modernisation and reward.
What you’ll need to succeed
You’ll have excellent and well-developed project management skills and practical experience. This will have involved managing conflicting priorities and deadlines over multiple projects at any one time, taking direction from more than one Project Lead to achieve successful delivery.
Our HR projects work to tight deadlines, so you therefore be highly organised, methodical and pro-active in your approach being able to escalate any matters that may affect project delivery to the appropriate Project Lead. You will be a self-starter, establishing what industry best practice looks like and actively seeking out better ways of doing things. You have a collaborative approach to your work with excellent planning and organisational skills. A good communicator, you can manage multiple tasks with a high degree of accuracy, prioritise a busy workload, working at times on your own as well as part of a team.
If this is you and you have Level 5 CIPD qualification or be able to demonstrate an equivalent level of experience, we would like to hear from you.
With a detailed supporting statement (no longer than 2 pages) that sets out how you meet the requirements of the job.
