Our client is a successful and growing organisation, who is recruiting a Head of L&D to design and deliver the L&D strategy ensuring alignment with their vision and strategic goals. You will be based within commuting distance to the offices in Gloucester and be expected to travel regularly to the other sites across the country.

In this role you will need to be visible across the organisation to build effective relationships at all levels in order to understand the current position and implement the necessary changes.

Key duties

* Quickly establish the current position of L&D across the organisation with regard to both compliance/mandatory training as well as soft skills.
* Create a comprehensive CPD framework which integrates governance, regulations and career development.
* Design and deliver a range of management and leadership programmes to improve and develop competence across the organisation.
* Building relationships across the business in order to champion a more proactive approach to Management Development.
* Design and Deliver innovative and engaging programmes across all levels of management ensuring maximum ROI
* Provide coaching expertise to support the management team effectiveness.
* Maximise the effectiveness of the L&D budget as well as the apprenticeship levy pot to meet the organisations learning objectives.

Experience required

* Ability to influence key stakeholders and gain buy-in for enhanced and new Learning Solutions
* Proven experience operating at all levels, including exec leadership level in a geographically dispersed, regulated organisation.
* Have a broad generalist background in L&D incorporating the management of compliance training, apprentice programmes as well as management and leadership training.
* Ability to travel across the country delivering training as well as developing and implementing an effective L&D strategy

Salary: £45-55,000 + benefits
