Hays Human Resources is proud to be working in partnership with a global manufacturer based in Norfolk, who have an exciting opportunity for an HR & OD Director to join their senior management team. The HR & OD Director will report to the Vice President, HR and work alongside the HR Operations Director. With three direct reports you will be part of a wider, thriving HR community focused on driving positive change across the organisation. As part of the SLT you will provide strategic guidance to Chief Exec and the Board on talent acquisition, change and culture, performance management, organisation management and talent development and training. The HR & OD Director must be capable of operating on a strategic and operational level, contributing to the overall business plan whilst ensuing that strategies are fit for purpose, both now and for the future.

Focused on creating a high performing culture, you will be involved in organisation design, succession planning and global headcount management. The role will also focus on maturing existing processes within your areas of expertise including, the recruitment life cycle and performance management framework to complement the overall mission, vision and values. Driven by the ROI, you will conduct a gap analysis and look for training and talent development opportunities. You will also champion driving effective group-wide resourcing and talent management strategies. Your team will work closely with the HR Business Partners and Compensation & Benefits team and y ou can also expect to be involved in the HRIS implementation alongside other high-profile projects as required by the Vice President, HR.

This is a critical job to help support the business to deliver their forecasted business plans. You will be empowered to work innovatively and creatively, but can also expect significant pressure with a fast moving back drop. You will be a qualified HR Director with specialist OD and HR experience in manufacturing or engineering sectors. A persuasive and inspirational business leader, you will be known for your patience, resilience and unrivalled passion. You will thrive in a manufacturing environment and have proven experience of raising the bar with regards to best practice. You will be a natural leader and encourage succession planning within your own team, inspiring people to come forward with ideas. A seasoned change agent, you will have well-honed project management skills and be committed to continuous improvement. Experience of cross-cultural working will also be highly advantageous.
