Our client is a large organisation experiencing a period of significant change who is recruiting a Senior L&D Business Partner aligned to a specific business unit and responsible for a team of 16 (2 direct reports). You will be based in the North East and be expected to travel regularly to the other sites across the country.

It is vital that you are highly visible across your business area to build effective relationships at all levels in order for you and your team to deliver end to end development, strategic to operational.

Key duties

* Responsible for Talent, Performance Management, Learning and Development across your business area
* Translating the group L&D strategy into a fit for purpose provision for your business area.
* Working closely with the wide L&D team on organisation wide programmes, specifically Leadership Development and Succession Planning.
* Focus on continuous improvement of the L&D Portfolio
* Project Management of regionally focused L&D related projects
* Managing the senior stakeholder relationship through a period of significant change.

Experience required

* Ability to build strong relationships and influence senior level stakeholders.
* Proven experience operating at all levels, including exec leadership level in a geographically dispersed, regulated organisation.
* Have a broad background in L&D and the qualifications to match.
* Ability to travel as and when necessary to deliver success in the role.

Initially this is a 12 month fixed term contract and they need someone to start in May 2019, however there may be a longer term opportunity as the role progresses for the right person.

Salary: £60-65,000 + Car Allowance and Excellent Benefits - 12 mth FTC, immediate start.
