I am working on behalf on an established NHS Trust based in Surrey who are looking to recruit a HR Business Partner to cover a maternity for a period on 13 months on a fixed term contract basis. This is a great opportunity for an NHS professional looking to take the next step in getting HR Business Partner recognition to contribute towards their long-term HR career goals. 

Reporting to the Head of HR, some of the responsibilities of this role include:

  • Provide professional advice and support to managers on matters relating to disciplinary, grievance, sickness absence, performance management issues and liaise with Trade Union Representatives as necessary.
  • Assist the Head of HR and the Human Resources team by undertaking proactive and reactive operational HR case work.
  • As required, develop new and revised HR policies and processes based on research of current legislation, best practice and operational needs of the organisation.
  • Assist with the design and deliver training to line managers regarding new initiatives such as Policy awareness and management sessions and HR hot topics.

The successful candidate will have experience in a similar role in the NHS. It is essential that you have evidence-based generalist HR experience which involves advising managers on all HR issues, in doing so you will possess an up to date knowledge of Employment Law & best practice
