The key focuses of the role will be to ensure the day to day operational HR needs of the business are met, alongside taking an active role in developing the strategic approach. this will include:

* Lead the development of the HR function and professional practice within each Division, working with HR colleagues to ensure that consistent practice is applied across the Group.
* Ensure that strategic business goals are met by taking full responsibility for the HR Business Plan, ensuring that the relevant Director and senior managers are fully aware of the content, act on it and measure it.
* Provide high level professional advice and support in the areas of employee relations; resource and talent management and succession planning.
* Contribute to strategic decision making by maintaining an up to date knowledge of HR practice and employment law.
* Create, implement and evaluate a programme for developing the People Management skills of line Managers.
* Through the HRBP's, ensure that Managers are aware of (and use) Policies and procedures effectively, treating employees fairly, in line with good practice and legislative requirements whilst meeting Business need.
* Ensure that the HR service delivered to customers is of the highest quality.
* Work with colleagues to develop relevant people performance targets and regularly analyse and review these for all Divisions.
* Where appropriate, although not routinely, lead in final stage discipline issues.
* Take a lead in complex grievance or disputes procedures as required.
* Lead corporate HR & Cultural change projects.

The role will require you to be used to working in a multi site business and be comfortable working in a high volume enviroment, where you have had direct line management experience of a sizable HR function.
