HR Manager

We are looking for an enthusiastic forward thinking HR Manager to lead the development of a new approach to managing people within our business and to modernise our HR function.

We are a growing manufacturing business in the heart of East Lancashire on the edge of the stunning Forest of Bowland Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and the Yorkshire Dales National Park. Part of a global family of businesses, with a Japanese parent company, we design, develop and produce parts used in both the automotive industry and medical field using ‘elastic’ technology. The business is going through a period of positive change and we are looking to appoint an HR Manager to take the business to the next level in our management of people and to support our small HR team to innovate and develop.

With turnover of £25m and a workforce of c125 employees, Piolax UK acts as the European Headquarters and has teams operating in the areas of design and development, engineering, production, warehousing and distribution, logistics, sales and marketing, accounting, IT, quality and HR.

We are looking for someone who is strong operationally as well as being able to think strategically and see the big picture. You will be an experienced HR leader with exceptional abilities in building relationships, communicating, managing and motivating staff. You will be able to demonstrate the ability to work on your own initiative, developing and implementing projects from scratch through to completion. You will be comfortable working with senior managers, persuading, influencing and challenging to promote engagement with the importance of the HR agenda. 

This a very challenging senior level position where you can make a significant impact on improving the business performance.
