Joining the Schools’ Personnel Service you’ll be part of a team that’s friendly, supportive and committed to providing a high quality service to our customers. This post is a home-based role and will involve travelling to visit our customers which primarily includes schools and academies. You will also be required to attend monthly meetings in our Head Office in Kent. This post is ideal for an experienced employee relations HR Manager / Consultant who lives in North London with easy access to M25/M1. We currently provide support to schools in N9, N11, N21 and the Enfield area and will be expanding further in the London area. 

As a professional Senior HR Consultant, you will need to be a self-starter who has well established and extensive practical HR experience with a solution focused approach. You will take responsibility for handling a vast range of complex and sensitive employment issues, including disciplinary, grievance, and redundancy. Providing advice and support, you’ll work closely with our customers which includes, Head Teachers, Governors, Local Authority Officers.

You’ll also participate in the development of new policies and procedures around casework, undertake investigations, run training sessions and help our customers achieve organisational change.

Qualified to NVQ5 within an HR Field or CIPD Advanced level, you’ve got proven experience at an HR management /consultant level, with a strong employee relations focus. Confident and articulate, you will be able to adapt your approach to meet customer needs and bring to the role real expertise for forging constructive customer relationships. Crucially, you also demonstrate the analytical flair to understand and apply data and other information in a structured way, to develop practical, evidence-based solutions.

The ability to travel across a wide geographical area in a timely and flexible manner at various times of the day (and evenings on occasions) is essential. You should note that public transport is rarely a viable option as your role may involve you travelling to venues in rural areas.

We are ideally seeking a full time candidate but consideration will be given to a part time worker who is available for a minimum of 3 days per week and is able to be flexible in meeting customer demands.
