This role requires someone very special; someone who will lead and manage our people function and act as a key enabler to the change and transformation programme supporting cultural change across JRF and JRHT.

Significant change is happening across all parts of the organisation and whilst the drivers for change differ there is a universal need to improve and modernise. The People Team are a fundamental part of delivering in this area.

You will have responsibility for the HR operations team, payroll, recruitment, learning and development, employee benefits and diversity and inclusion. Managing the provision of the day-to-day HR service to JRF/JRHT, you will balance this with embracing the current people strategy and taking the lead in the ongoing development and delivery of the people plan that supports our wider strategic and business planning.

Key accountabilities include:

  • Responsibility for the people plan and its outcomes
  • Business partnering across both JRF and JRHT
  • Embedding a performance management culture
  • Developing robust pay and reward schemes
  • Development of a future proof HR system
  • Day to day delivery of the tactical aspects of the department.

About you:

Fully CIPD-qualified and/or with significant relevant experience, you will have proven leadership skills which generate a high level of professional credibility with a wide range of stakeholders. You will be knowledgeable in employment law and experienced in leading teams and delivering projects across different areas of a people function. Ideally, you will have experience in a range of sectors including the charitable sector. Results-orientated, strong on getting things done through others, highly resilient, you will also be:

  • an excellent all-round communicator
  • a skilled influencer
  • fully committed to diversity and inclusion
  • experienced in assessing the business need for, and leading on, innovative change programmes.
