Artis Recruitment are supporting an exciting business in Bristol with the recruitment of a HR Consultant, this is a permanent full time post paying £30-35,000 pa.

We are looking for a HR Consultant to join our small and efficient People and Development team in our Bristol office. The HR Consultant works closely with the HR Manager and Head of HR to provide a timely, effective and pragmatic HR service to the firm as an active member of the People and Development team. The role is instrumental to supporting the delivery of the people strategy with the aim of creating the best place to work.

What You'll Be Doing

Supporting the HR Manager and working with a small team of HR Administrators and a HR Coordinator, you will be responsible for providing day-to-day, operational HR support and advice to employees, team leaders and partners, escalating any issues to the HR Manager/Head of HR accordingly. You will be the first point of contact for all matters and responsible for undertaking people planning meetings.
Confident in employee relations, you will be able to advise on a range of policies and procedures including capability, disciplinary and grievance policy and procedures, maternity, paternity and shared parental leave policies, flexible working, absence, salary and benefits. You will also be expected to keep up to date with relevant employment legislation, and implementing positive changes to our policies and processes to reflect these.
You will support the wider team with recruitment, absence management and annual business projects such a pay review, bonus, annual benefits renewals, employee engagement and gender pay gap calculations. You will also take an active role in recruitment, supporting the recruitment consultant by obtaining relevant recruitment briefs from cost centres, developing job adverts and coaching line managers on recruitment and interviewing skills.
Working closely with the business, you will also have the opportunity to make a real impact in people change projects, providing support on HR initiatives and leading some projects where required.
What We Are Looking For
Ideally, you will have previous experience of working as a HR Consultant/Advisor in a professional services firm. You will need to be confident in your knowledge of dealing with people cases, and able to use your experience to drive forward positive change for our people. Experience in managing employee benefits, apprentice schemes, employee engagement, wellbeing, recruitment, and pay review is desired, as well as being confident enough to be able to deliver training to line managers. Experience in dealing with international mobility is also desirable.

You will be degree qualified, with a CIPD qualification. You will be computer literate, particularly in MS Power Point, Word, Excel and Outlook. Experience of an LMS system would also be ideal.
