Strategic Lead - People and Organisational Development
We are looking for an exceptional and inspiring individual to lead, manage and be accountable for the council’s organisational and workforce development frameworks, driving change and improvement through innovation and best practice to ensure Thurrock Council achieves its exciting ambitions.
As a strategic thinker with a proven track record of managing and driving change, you will play a key leadership role in the development and delivery of large scale initiatives within the council such as talent management, staff engagement, embedding values, digital initiatives, and the continuous review and improvement of learning and development opportunities to our staff.
Responsible for the management of the Learning & Development team, you will be Chartered MCIPD qualified (or equivalent) with significant experience in senior leadership roles in an organisation of comparable complexity and size. You will be an effective communicator and have the interpersonal skills to inspire your team to achieve and exceed performance targets.
As a key member of our Directorate Management team, you will work with other Senior Managers to lead the delivery of the People Strategy and to build our organisations capacity, culture and confidence to ensure our people are fully engaged with Thurrock’s vision, ambitions and values.
