Magpie Dance is the UK’s leading dance charity working with people with learning disabilities. Since 1985, the company has been running workshops and dance classes for children and adults. Participants have a range of learning disabilities and are aged eight +, with no upper age limit on taking part.
Working with professional dance practitioners and musicians, through dance, participants gain significant life, social and communication skills with measurable health and wellbeing benefits. They stage regular performances, often in prestigious performing arts venues and ambitious and highly skilled dancers are supported through professional progression pathways.
The charity also delivers professional training for education, dance, health and business clients nationally, and we work in partnership with the NHS to provide in-patient work for clients with dementia and a range of complex learning disabilities.
Trustees have responsibility for the strategic direction, governance and development of this award winning charity based in SE London.
Interested candidates are asked to email email@example.com for an application pack and form.
Deadline for applications is Thursday 27th June 2019.
