Deputy HR Manager

- Full-Time | Circa £37,400 per annum + 13% bonus scheme
ABOUT THE ROLE
This is an exciting opportunity to join our HR team in the role of Deputy HR Manager. In this role, you will support and where required deputise, for the village HR Manager in all aspects of HR activity including generalist HR, Training and Medical Centre.
You will oversee and provide guidance to the HR Advisors to ensure all HR processes are carried out efficiently and in accordance with company policies. You will monitor and promote good employee relations, co-ordinate and participate in disciplinary and grievance investigations and produce and analyse key HR metrics.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required as you will liaise with operational managers on a regular basis to discuss their HR needs. The ideal candidate will therefore have a proactive approach to their work and be able to demonstrate good influencing and negotiating skills.
Experience of absence management, succession planning, recruitment and retention, employee relations, training and development and budget management will be required, along with a good working knowledge of employment law.
As a DBS Counter-signatory, this position will be required to undergo an Enhanced DBS check as part of the Counter-signatory registration process.
HOURS OF WORK
You will be contracted to work 160 hours per 4 week period on a flexible basis. This means that your hours and days of work could vary each week, but you will always receive at least your contracted hours each period.
Your working days will be Monday to Friday 8:30am – 5:00pm with occasional weekend cover. As our Village is open 365 days of the year, your working hours may include some public / bank holidays and during Christmas and/or New Year on a rota basis.
- Part qualified CIPD or equivalent/or qualified by experience
- Generalist HR experience with exposure to a diverse range of complex HR issues
- Good analytical thinking and the ability to make decisions in difficult or ambiguous situations
- Current working knowledge of employment law, excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to influence others
- Competent on Microsoft office, HR systems experience and numerate
