Our client are a charitable housing association and social enterprise, helping people and communities to overcome challenges, take opportunities and develop their ability to achieve their aspirations. They employ 400 staff to deliver a wide range of high quality services including housing, care homes, children’s nurseries, community investment and supported housing across Cambridgeshire and Royston.


As one of their HR Advisors, you will provide a proactive, customer focused and professional generalist Human Resources advisory service to managers and employees dealing with a diverse range of HR responsibilities. In this varied role, your main duties will be to cover employee relations issues including: performance management, absence management, contractual changes and policy development/compliance as well as supporting other members of the team with recruitment and HR administration.


Further to this you will provide project support and HR expertise on specific projects throughout the group and you’ll support the implementation of the HR Strategy through the development and implementation of projects, including research and statistical analysis.


Having previously held an HR Advisor or similar HR generalist position, within a busy Human Resources Department, you’ll be experienced in advising managers on a range of employment relations issues. With an up to date knowledge of HR practices, employment legislation and employment relations issues, you’ll have the ability to contribute to the development of HR policies and procedures and lead on HR projects.


Ideally holding a CIPD Level 5 Certificate or Diploma (or studying towards or equivalent experience), you’ll be a competent IT user, especially when using Microsoft office packages and HR Databases.
