Within the plan there are three core goals covering research, teaching and learning and social responsibility. Underpinning these are a number of enabling strategies, the first being Quality people. The People and Organisation Development Strategy is designed to contribute to the delivery of the three core goals.
The Staffing Groups are varied and include academic (including Nobel laureates), Professional Services, clerical, manual and catering and three trade unions are recognised – UCU, UNISON and UNITE the Union. The University has a complex strategic and operating environment both internally and externally which is challenging and highly competitive on a global scale.
The role sits within the University’s HR Senior Leadership Team. The HR Partners are either based within their respective Faculties or within the Professional Services Team.
You will have a significant track record of providing effective senior leadership for the delivery of the HR transactional services to a consistently high standard in a large and complex environment. Working closely with the HRD, you will have experience of the strategic development and delivery of People and Organisations Development strategy. A Member of CIPD, you will be able to demonstrate experience of delivering HR data, highlighting trends and making recommendations in support of the continuous improvement of HR services as well as evidence of building strong relationships with key stakeholders.
