Your new company

Your new company is a forward-thinking and large organisation within the public arena based around Penrith and easily accessible from surrounding areas. The organisation provides services to the whole of the county and, due to maternity, are now looking for a HR Officer to join their diverse team initially for a 6 month period with the possibility of extension.

Your new role

Your new job will oversee the provision of generalist HR advice with a particular focus on employee relations, dealing primarily with attendance and performance management in addition to disciplinaries, capability and grievances. You will be providing a generalist support to the organisation including remote support and oversee areas such as recruitment, projects and supporting your HR manager with other HR duties.

What you'll need to succeed

The ideal candidate will be CIPD qualified with a sound knowledge of employment law. You will be a resilient individual, able to thrive in fast-paced and pressured environments, able to take initiative and apply company policies where applicable. You will be adept to using spreadsheets, Microsoft and outlook software as well as having demonstrable experience of working with a varied caseload.
