Head of Organisational Development and HR
Salary: £61,000 (London) or £57,000 (Chesterfield).
Location: Flexible with need for regular presence in London and Chesterfield offices
Versus Arthritis was launched in September 2018, a new, bigger better and different charity created from the merger between Arthritis Care and Arthritis Research UK. Our ambitious vision is to create a world where arthritis is no longer tolerated.
There are currently 10 million people in the UK living with arthritis. Arthritis steals people’s independence and freedom of movement but is seen as something you just have to put up with. We don’t agree. And we’re building a movement to defy arthritis.
In becoming Versus Arthritis, we want to transform into a vibrant, sustainable, learning organisation with a strong recognisable brand; the optimal blend of activity; the capabilities and skills needed to deliver; new, scalable income streams; and a large, growing supporter base in order to ensure long-term financial sustainability.
We are currently working through a period of transformation with key priorities for both the short and longer term. With such big organisational ambitions, we need an outstanding HR and Organisational Development team that can support the organisation to deliver. Which is why we need you.
As our new Head of Organisational Development & HR you will lead and shape change within our HR & Organisational Development team for the benefit of the whole organisation. You will play a key role in empowering the team to support and enable our employed workforce of 320 people across the UK to be their very best, through our employment offer, development opportunities, engagement and a flexible and inclusive workplace culture. You will also champion and role model our values and behaviours, drive our commitment to flexibility, collaboration, inclusion and wellbeing and influence our organisational thinking through meaningful information and insightful analysis on the needs and engagement of our people.
