Salary
Circa £64,000
Closing date

Established in 1987, ARTICLE 19 works for a world where all people everywhere can freely express themselves and actively engage in public life without fear of discrimination.

Our mission is to promote and defend the universal human rights of freedom of expression and information around the world, through international advocacy, legal analysis, and regional and national projects.

ABOUT THE ROLE

The Director of Human Resources (HR) will report directly to the Executive Director to build, integrate, and deliver on several strategic and operational initiatives. As a member of our Global Management Team (GMT), the individual will help develop ARTICLE 19’s transformational organisational culture review by playing a leading role in embedding the behaviours envisioned in ARTICLE 19’s Values.

The role will also offer the opportunity to serve as a strategic HR Business Partner to Regional Directors based in our six regional offices, as well as the Directors and Heads at the International Office. As such, this role requires in-depth knowledge of International HR Management, an awareness of the interdependencies between HR processes in an international organisation and an understanding of how to integrate and implement HR programmes and policies across regions. A critical component of the role is to operate effectively at both the strategic and operational level and have excellent facilitation, influencing, change management and analytical skills.

This is a full-time role based in London and will require regular international travel.
