Senior Learning and Development Manager

We have recently registered a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Learning and Development (L&D) professional to join a renowned scientific organisation, as a Senior L&D manager. As the Senior L&D Manager you will work within the wider HR team and line manager your own team to ensure the L&D function at this organisation runs smoothly. This is a varied and exciting role with some of your duties including developing the graduate and early careers schemes, supporting line managers, designing induction training/onboarding and monitoring the performance of L&D processes. Senior Learning and Development Manager Responsibilities

As the Senior L&D Manager some of your responsibilities will include:

  • Growing the Graduate, apprenticeship, early careers and summer placement schemes
  • Producing a long-term talent development strategy
  • Implementing a coaching culture
  • Supporting and developing the induction and onboarding process
  • Managing the effectiveness of L&D processes through monitoring performance metrics
  • Managing the mentoring programme – including the training of mentors
  • Working collaboratively with the HR leadership team

Senior Learning and Development Manager Experience

The Senior L&D Manager will be an experienced L&D professional who enjoys working in a fast-paced organisation. It is essential that you have previous experience with working with both senior stakeholders and Senior Leadership teams. As the Senior L&D Manager you will have a comprehensive understanding of apprenticeship levy, talent management and early careers development. You will also have experience of managing large teams.
