Working Hours: Flexible – full time, minimum of 35 hours per week, Monday – Friday, but open to part time arrangements from 0.7 FTE upwards

Maternity cover fixed term contract to Feb 2020, with possible 6 month extension

We are recruiting for a Head of Reward to join the Human Resources Department to lead the implementation of changes following a review of job evaluation and reward structures. We are looking for a talented reward specialist, with a passion for influencing senior leaders and driving change. This is a fantastic opportunity to utilise your reward and benefits knowledge and to really make a difference within The Salvation Army.

Key Responsibilities:

You will be responsible for leading the design of pay and benefits policies and practices across the organisation, be part of the HR senior management team, defining the pay and benefits strategy for the organisation and influencing at board level to effect change.

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate:

  • Experience of leading a reward and benefits programme
  • Significant HR knowledge and experience, along with the credibility to influence senior leaders
  • Excellent knowledge of reward practices
  • Strong communication skills to manage changes effectively and engage with stakeholders.
