Interim Organisational Development Manager - 6 months role - Doncaster - £37500 pa equivalent

Your new company
I am currently working in partnership with my client - a highly respected service provider with multiple service sites around the South Yorkshire area are looking to recruit a Interim Organisational Development Manager for a 6 months role.

Your new role
Reporting to the Head of HR & OD you will manage the OD and L&D functions - responsible for the strategic planning and direction of the OD/L&D provision, aswell as the day-to-day management of the function and the staff within that department.

Your role will be to provide the operational management and delivery of the company's 5 year Business Plan and Annual Development Plan working to financial targets and budget provision, to deliver excellent services.

Specifically you will :


* Being the lead technical specialist for the company on organisational development and learning & development; providing advice, input and expertise in relation to all aspects or organisational development strategies, initiatives and projects to ensure an integrated approach to delivering the business plan and wider partner objectives.
* Provision of local advice to managers, via coaching and support as needed, for workforce change and transition management for service managers to assist with the delivery of service plans.
* Research and advise on the relevance and benefits of awards and accreditation, e.g. Investors in People. To facilitate any supporting processes associated with the achievement of such awards.
* Support the Head of HR & OD with the evaluation of the learning and development plan and the People Strategy, through the provision of data and methodological advice for material for reports for both the Senior Management Team and the Board.
* Review and develop the organisational development policies consulting with Senior Management Team and trades unions as required.
* Develop and expand the provision of e-learning to facilitate the delivery of blended learning approaches as relevant.
* Clarify, agree and refresh mandatory training requirements on an annual basis, working closely with Subject Matter Experts in respect of the annual learning and development programme, and ensure these requirements are delivered.
* Responsibility of managing the Learning and Development budget and reporting on variations or issues.
* Contribute to the development of a learning culture within the organisation by identifying opportunities for learning, demonstrating commitment to own personal development, taking an active part in the appraisal process, providing coaching, feedback and training and creating a supportive environment where people can do their best and achieve their potential.
* Deliver training as needed to the Senior Management Team and the Board.
* Supporting Managers in ensuring effective succession planning processes are in place.
* Supporting the planning and delivery of the annual employee engagement event.
* Oversee the management Apprenticeship Training Academy, production of reports, associated events and the delivery on the ground of this project

NB Interviews for this role are taking place with my client w/c 22nd July - with a initial interview with the Recruiting Partner - Ruth Hardy of Hays HR - prior to that date.

What you'll need to succeed
The successful applicant will ideally be a Chartered Member of the CIPD (or equivalent relevant experience level) with a successful track record in the management of Organisational Development and Learning & Development activities/department of an organisation.
In addition you will be able to display OD and L&D planning, review, implementation and project management aswell as budget management and departmental/staff management.
Experience of designing, delivering and evaluating effective learning and development interventions and providing advice to different levels within the organisation. SMT and board reporting level skills are also required for this prestigious role.
Public Sector or Third Party sector background with Trade Union involvement is highly advantageous.

What you'll get in return
You will be offered a Interim role for a 6 month period (with a review following this date, dependant on organisational requirements) and a competitive salary of circa £37500 (based on a weekly paid hourly rate basis with accrued holiday entitlement)
