Head of Reward
My Local authority client is looking for an experience Head of Reward to work across all areas of HR, specialising and leading on Pay, Employee Benefits, and Employee Recognition
If you have proven expertise in innovative approaches to pay and reward, that maintain a high-achieving organisation culture then this could be the role for you.
The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering programmes that reward and recognise achievements, and behaviours, in a market-relevant, fair and cost-effective way. You will be advising and influencing senior stakeholders to enable the organisation to change what they do individually, and as an organisation, aligned to the People Strategy. This role needs a balance of pragmatism with an understanding of leading-edge pay and reward approaches and deep professional insight.
With an expert knowledge of leading edge pay and reward mechanism you will also be an expert in pay benchmarking and Hay job evaluation. You’ll use evidence-based decision making to drive our organisational performance and it is essential that you have an in-depth understanding of pay and reward strategies, as well as tactics for deployment which you’ll need as we’re a complex organisation on a change journey.
You’ll have experience of designing overall reward packages to attract, motivate and retain individuals and groups, (ideally gained in a complex, public sector setting) with the ability to articulate complex reward and benefits concepts, to meet business objectives and budget requirements. You will have exceptionally strong networking and relationship building skills at all levels across and beyond the organisation.
