We’re ideally looking for someone with:

  • A track record of substantial success in a similar role at a similar level, with personal responsibility for delivering group-wide strategy and transformational cultural change
  • Proven experience of developing and leading on change management programmes through employee engagement, involvement and collaboration
  • Proven experience of successfully leading, managing and coaching employees and supporting them through times of change
  • Up to date of knowledge of employment law, TUPE legislation and its practical effective application. 

About the role     

We are looking for an amazing Director for People who can lead the HR function and partner with the board to sculpt the growth and people agenda.

You will ensure that Jisc has an engaged, inclusive and diverse workforce with the right knowledge, skills and behaviours to deliver its strategic goals.  

This is a challenging role where you will build a progressive management structure and management approach alongside technical career paths that will be fit to take the organisation forward and to respond flexibly to future challenges and changes to the world of work.

Your experience and skills will be a crucial aspect to facilitate and enable the development of the organisation.

Location

This role can be based in Bristol, London, Manchester or Harwell.

Connecting with each other is a doddle, thanks to our technology, but getting face to face is something we value and find time for when we can, so you may need to travel on occasion. Our main offices are in Bristol, Harwell, London and Manchester.
