Description

This is a brand new role which will full align to and own all People change activities. As Head of People Assurance you will be responsible for service proposition, control and governance. You will develop consistent ways of delivering change and will managing performance against plan. The successful candidate will therefore be a change management expert, with resource management capabilities. The role also involves risk management (mitigation , people risks and controls) and business continuity. You will work with IT and change centre as part of the transformation process and manage progress against plans.

You will lead and drive the implementation of all people change programmes, ensuring a consistent way of managing change with People Services and supporting the Director and People Leadership Team to successfully deliver its people change requirements. Track manage and report on overall service performance and standards, ensuring continuous improvement. Maintain oversight of governance risk and audit actions for People Services to identify and manage significant risks in line with risk profile.


Profile

Essential skills and experience:

A relevant change qualification and significant people change management experience at an organisation wide level. Technical expertise in the appropriate practice and tools required to manage people change and plans.

A strong HR professional with experience of supporting the development of people strategy and priorities at an organisation wide level.

Experience of Implementing and developing HR Operating models and service proposition and developing quality frameworks to report against progress.

A proven track record in developing and implementing people change processes and toolkits providing coaching mentoring and support to up-skill colleagues.

Experience of managing multiple people projects at a strategic level, building pans and securing / identifying resources, dependencies and reporting on progress.

Excellent attention to detail and strong and demonstrable analytical skills, including the ability to critically analyse complex information, and experience of providing meaningful management information and recommendations.

Demonstrable experience of producing clear, well-structured reports and recommendations for senior leadership teams, including Board level.

Detailed understanding of risk management and compliance. Significant experience of managing, mitigating, controlling and testing organisation level people risk, audit actions and developing business continuity plans,

Commercially aware with experience of successfully managing large scale budgets adhering to strict financial protocols.

Evidence of effective stakeholder management, both internal and external, including the ability to deliver through others and successfully influence at all levels.

Experience of managing multiple contracts and strong supplier management.

Passionate about putting the customer first with excellent written and verbal communication skills. Evidence of using sound judgement when proposing solutions and making effective decisions.

Comprehensive up to date knowledge of HR best practice.


Job Offer

The salary on offer is £55,743 - £61,611

* Pension
* 10% Enhanced pay after 12 months (dependant on starting salary)
* 25 days holiday increasing to max of 30
* Child scheme (if employees have a child under the age of 12 core hours can be 7.30am - 3pm ). Please note at this level there would need to be some business flexibility.
