A HR / Compliance Assistant is required for an SME business in Chelmsford

Your new company
A HR / Compliance Assistant is required for a well established, SME business based in Chelmsford. You will be an integral part of the support team ensuring this Manufacturing organisation adheres to all legislation and regulatory requirements.

Your new role
This is a varied position that combines HR and Compliance Administration. Your key responsibilities will be:

Human Resources
Organisation and maintaining all personnel records
Recording holiday, sickness, absence and maternity and paternity.
Creating employment contracts
Assisting with new starter inductions
Assisting with revising policies in line with legislation
Liaising with external partners such as Recruitment agencies and Employment Law advisers
Advertise vacancies on various platforms
Conduct Telephone screening of applications
Produce reports for Directors: Labour turnover, absence and performance

Compliance
Compose data to aid risk assessments
Monitor compliance with laws and regulations
Management of the fleet of vehicles
Assist in the internal auditing process and ensure all files are recorded
Help to maintain FORS and BSI accreditation

What you'll need to succeed
To be successful you will have previous experience in a support / administrative role ideally within HR or Compliance. Its essential that you have strong administration skills and are proficient in using MS office suite, especially Excel. You will have experience / knowledge of working with confidential information and have excellent attention to detail. You will be educated to degree level or equivalent, this is preferred, not essential.
