Job Details
As the Business Manager to the People, Culture and Skills Director, you will play an integral role in enabling the function to deliver an exceptional service and ensuring that the Director's time efficiency is optimised. You will support the Director with a range of issues, handling situations on their behalf when needed, alongside managing the Director's inbox and monitoring the information flow. This is in hand with proactive diary management, meeting preparation and delivering high quality papers for the Executive Leadership Team and the MaPS Board.
You will be at the heart of the People, Culture and Skills team, allowing you to support other key members of the function and contribute to HR projects, offering you the opportunity to grow in your knowledge of the HR Profession.
What you'll need to succeed
* You will have proven experience of working in a business manager/executive assistant role to an HR Director (or professional equivalent), preferably within the public sector
* You will have experience working autonomously and within a team, remaining calm under pressure and able to handle changing priorities
* You will demonstrate excellent communication skills with the ability to liaise with people at a variety of levels with clarity and confidence
* Advanced level of proficiency in Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and ideally OneNote
* Be working towards, or have a keen interest in working towards, a CIPD qualification
