Equity is the UK trade union representing performers and other creative workers from across the spectrum of the entertainment, creative and cultural industries.

We have an exciting opportunity for someone with the energy and commitment to take on a challenging and rewarding role.

We are seeking to appoint a Governance & Operations Organiser to provide multi-functional administrative support to Equity’s elected governing body, and to work closely with the General Secretary across business areas including human resources, finance, facilities and services. You will also act as personal assistant to the General Secretary and Deputy for the General Secretary, providing comprehensive secretarial and administrative support to the General Secretary’s department.

The role is perfect for someone who is highly organised, with exceptional written and spoken communication skills, and with the ability to use their judgement and work independently. An advanced user of Microsoft Office packages such as Word, Excel and PowerPoint, you’ll be capable of producing everything from reports to correspondence to official minutes.

You will be an experienced HR professional having previously worked in a demanding administration role providing quality support to a Director or senior team members. You will be well organised and able to form positive relationships with key internal and external stakeholders.

You will need to have personal integrity, be trustworthy, reliable and have a positive approach to your work. You will be tactful, eloquent and able to confidently handle information of a sensitive nature effectively. The ability to juggle competing priorities, manage diaries and communicate professionally to a wide range of people is essential.

The starting salary is £49,578.42, rising on a scale, with 31 days annual leave and a contributory pension scheme.
