Your new role

As Lead HR Advisor, reporting to the Vice President of HR, you will join a talented team of 5 including 2 x HR Business Partners and a HR Administrator. This position has HR responsibility for 200 employees locally with 550 people in total across other local/international sites.

This position is predominantly based at the Bournemouth office, but may involve occasional travel locally (rare) or abroad (maybe once a year), so a Full UK Driving Licence is essential.

Main job purpose:

The Lead HR Advisor will provide an efficient and effective HR Advisory service to all employee groups and work closely with the HR Business Partners, ensuring that all information leaving the department is in line with the organisation's policies and procedures, employment legislation and established HR best practice.

The Lead HR Advisor will also provide comprehensive advisory support to managers (including those based in their international sites inc Europe, Saudi Arabia and the Carribean) on the full range of people management issues so that appropriate solutions are applied which support the achievement of the organisation's objectives. They will also provide guidance to employees on the application of terms and conditions of employment and work closely with the admin team to ensure that any changes to employee terms and conditions and personal details are updated in the appropriate HR systems.

What you'll need to succeed

You must be qualified to CIPD Level 5 (minimum) or above, with a strong desire to progress your personal development (CPD) in future.

This role will suit a sociable, dynamic person with excellent communication/IT skills, a strong knowledge of employment law (ideally international law too) and experience of delivering training and providing coaching/mentoring to employees at all levels of a business.

My client would prefer someone who has worked in manufacturing, aviation or engineering environments as a Lead/Senior Advisor or HR Business Partner as part of a HR team.

What you'll get in return

This is a rare opportunity to join a fantastic employer who I have placed a candidate with a few years ago. They are a progressive, innovative business with many divisions across the organisation.

You will receive a market led salary, 25 days holiday + BH's, free parking, pension matched between 4-12% and the option to buy/sell up to 5 days additional holiday.
