It's super exciting when two organisations come together - so much knowledge brought to the table, diversity, ambition….

But it also brings its challenges - varying cultures, systems, values, ways of working, and the way each business views and practices talent management and development.

This role is about creating something new. Something robust, something that is really going to make sure that capability is maximised, leaders are inspirational and the business has all the talent it needs to smash its objectives.

You'll get to own the talent management and development of about 1000 super smart, UK based employees, with a focus on leadership and management development - creating capability frameworks, designing leadership programmes, delivering as well as selecting the best external providers. You'll get to embed Succession Planning - something they're not great at yet - and build solid talent programmes that will ensure the future is taken care of as this company continues to grow.

It won't all be from scratch - you'll get a lot from HQ in the US, but you'll need to tailor it for your audience - they have created the foundations for their 33,000 employees worldwide, but it's up to you to make it relevant.

To be successful in this role you'll need to be able to navigate and manage diverse styles of leadership, take a long term view yet be quick to deliver. You'll find it easier if you understand tech - these guys create cutting edge technology to solve global challenges - it's seriously impressive stuff, so speaking the language and understanding what makes them tick will help you get them where you need them to be, quicker.
