Your new role

To provide professional HR Business Partnering to the Heads of Service and Department Management Teams.
To fully embed the new People Business Partner model across the business by building strong working relationships and flawless execution of value-add HR initiatives, in line with the People Strategy.
As an integrated member of the Department Management team, provide the appropriate level of challenge and support to seek to improve the performance of the business area through its people.
Ensure people engagement is a top priority and there is the right level of focus across the Department to deliver improvements
Act as a highly trusted advisor to the Head of Department and SLT, role modelling our core values at all times.
Champion our people agenda with emphasis on creating a workplace where we are all proud to work and where our people experience and culture enables people to bring their 'whole self' to work and empowers them to produce their best work for us.
Develop a strategic workforce plan for each business area to ensure we have the right people at the right time with the right skills and at the right cost now and in the future.
Develop and embed the talent management and succession planning process to ensure internal talent is identified and appropriately managed and in the first instance internal colleagues are considered for positions prior to external recruitment being undertaken.

What you'll need to succeed

CIPD qualified or equivalent
Track record of operating and influencing at a senior leadership level
Evidence of continual professional development
Ensure you are ahead of legislative changes which impact on the business to minimise the risk to the business and our colleagues.
