People and Change Partner

People & Change Partners x 2
Band 8b (£52,306 – £60,983)

We have high ambitions here at RBFT – our aim is to be recognised, simply, as outstanding and the best place to work.

RBH has been rated as ‘Outstanding’ by the CQC and the HR/OD function is a 2-time national award winner.

We are looking for 2 experienced and motivated People & Change Partners with a strong focus on working with stakeholders to provide practical solutions to people and workforce issues.

These newly created posts provide support to one of the three divisions (Care groups) at RBFT. You will be part of a high performing HR/OD senior management team as well as working as the people lead for your division. We have centralised teams providing ER, recruitment, workforce information and OD services. This enables your role to focus on relationship management, staff engagement and workforce development and transformation - see the job description for further information.

As the People & Change Partner, you will understand the key strategic and operational objectives of each division and play a pivotal role in helping to achieve them by providing high-level advice and support while ensuring staff live by our Values.

Each one of the People & Change Partners will be undertaking a mixed strategic/operational role in the divisions.  An integral part of the divisional senior management team, you will provide a strategic people focus and direction within divisions and its key stakeholders, based on improving patient care, service development and valuing our people. You will proactively work with the management team to support the forward planning, modernisation engagement and performance of the workforce, embedding good people practice and raising HR capability within the division. The ability to promote a positive working culture is integral to your success. You will influence and drive business objectives,  and workforce-related plans and delivering against the People Strategy and divisional people priorities.

You will need to have a proven experience of developing strong relationships with senior stakeholders and effective interpersonal skills. You will have experience in one (or more) of the areas of people management, workforce development or OD. NHS experience is not essential.

To arrange an informal discussion on the post, please contact: Maureen.howlett@royalberkshire.nhs.uk

Interviews will take place on the morning of 12th September.

Closing date is 1st September 2019
