Southwark Council is an exciting place to work as we transform the way we work to reflect our drive for excellence We recognise that having the right people, with the right experience and skills, in the right jobs, is at the heart of our organisation. Without this we cannot deliver.

The Schools’ HR Team is going through a transformation as we review our service to schools in our drive to support positive school improvement outcomes. We partner with our schools and colleagues to support schools in achieving great educational outcomes for children and young people in Southwark. We believe that everyone in the team is a valued member and, we will give you responsibility and the opportunity to make a difference from the beginning. We will also invest in upskilling and developing you. If you are looking for a role where you enjoy diversity and the flexibility of working across a number of schools, then this is the role for you.

We are looking for someone who has a strong employee relations and change management background as well as experience of working positively with trade unions. You will be required to travel to schools around the borough on a regular basis and there may be occasional meetings outside of normal office hours.

We offer variety, challenge and the opportunity to grow. We also offer an attractive range of employee benefits. Visit our website for more information about our service http://schools.southwark.gov.uk http://schools.southwark.gov.uk/ and to view our current service level agreement. Information about the role, including the full job description can be downloaded from our jobs website.

If you would like an informal chat about the role please contact Shereen Moussa, Head of Schools Human Resources, on 020 7525 0050.

The Schools’ HR Team is a dedicated team: we take personal accountability for our work and take pride in what we do. If this sounds like your kind of challenge, please apply online, setting out clearly how you meet the shortlisting criteria in the person specification.
