HR Advisor

A confident HR Advisor to join an established provider of residential services, based in Southampton.

My client are a registered charity and a provider of residential services including fostering placements and crisis care, who also provide expert training and specialist education in Hampshire.

The organisation aim to make a real difference to society and to create a lasting legacy, with the focus on making a positive difference through support, education and passionate care.

Your new role

This is a 12m Fixed Term Contract with the potential for the role to become permanent. This position is based in the Southampton office, but also includes occasional travel to other locations in Southampton, Portsmouth and Fareham. As a result, access to your own vehicle and a Full UK Driving Licence is required.

As HR Advisor, you will report to one of the HR Business Partners with no direct reports. Working hours: 37.5 hours/week, Monday-Friday.

Job summary:
To work with the HR Business Partners in proactively supporting the business to achieve its business objectives by providing a professional HR service to Managers and employees.

What you'll need to succeed

This role will suit a strong, confident person who is keen to learn and develop their HR skill-set within a professional environment. The business will support your development through an allocated training budget.

You must be qualified to CIPD Level 3 (minimum), with at least 2 years experience in a similar HR role. Of 350 employees in the business, this position is responsible for 150 people within their Education and Family Services Departments, so experience in education/care will be an advantage (but not essential).

What you'll get in return

This position offers a salary between £24,000-£28,000 (DOE), 25 days + BH's, pension matched to 3% and mileage claimed to 45p/mile.
