Your new company

My client is a successful business based in Stoke on Trent. They are now looking for a qualified HR Manager to join their team.


Your new role

As a HR Manager you will be responsible for defining, implementing and managing the HR strategy and initiatives to support delivery of the business strategy. You will be accountable for the delivery of a high quality, pragmatic and proactive HR service to all levels within the business. You will also partner with Businesses Managers to more effectively manage their teams, drive performance, focus on continuous improvement and plan for future development and growth.

Key accountabilities


* Working collaboratively with the Senior Management Team to define, implement and manage an agreed HR strategy

* Leading and supporting change management projects within the business

* Be active in developing, embedding and promoting the businesses Vision and Values.

* Formulating HR plans, policies & procedures according to business objectives and provide commercial HR solutions and operational support

* Building relationships with key stake holders at all levels and develop a good understanding of the business to provide appropriate advice and guidance

* Evaluating HR practices to ensure they are value adding and fit for purpose.
* HR Data & Planning
* Employee Relations

* Recruitment & Selection
* Talent Management
* Performance Management

* Learning and Development

* Compensation and Benefits

* Employee Engagement
* Management of specific projects
* Travel to company sites within UK will be required


What you'll need to succeed


* You will be a Professional Member of CIPD (Associate, Chartered MCIPD or Chartered FCIPD)

* At least 3 years experience working at Business Partner/HR Manager level
* Demonstrates a broad generalist knowledge of HRM remit and legal compliance
* Experience of cultural transformation and change programmes
* Commercial thinker with strong business acumen
* Customer focused with the ability to build strong relationships and work collaboratively to achieve results
* Excellent communication and influencing skills
* A high level of interpersonal skills with a 'can do' attitude.
* Decisive with strong leadership capability
* Results driven and familiar with the collection and use of HR data.
* Passionate and highly motivated to succeed in all tasks.
* Able and willing to work in a team environment and develop their own team.
* Acts as a role model and demonstrates high levels of credibility and integrity
* Takes responsibility for own continuing professional development
