HR Manager, Homerton College, University of Cambridge
Salary: dependent on qualifications and experience
Homerton College is a self-governing college of the University of Cambridge and currently employs around 115 full and part time support staff from Domestic Assistants to Heads of Departments and around 70 full and part time academic staff. The College also employs a bank of casual workers who provide additional support across departments all year round and some on a more seasonal basis.
We are looking for an experienced HR Manager who will join our senior management team supporting Heads of Departments and employees across the organisation as well as developing and managing the HR Function. You will provide both strategic and operational advice on all HR related matters for every stage of the employment lifecycle including recruitment, performance management, employee development, employee relations and organisational development.
You must be able to demonstrate that you are proactive in resolving challenging situations, have the resilience and ability to juggle multiple and competing priorities as well as providing support to the HR Administrator when required. You should also be CIPD qualified and have a solid HR generalist background with proven experience in a HR Manager/Business partner role, ideally from Collegiate Cambridge or University of Cambridge. The current HR Manager works 25 hours, 4 days per week but the College would welcome applications from candidates who would like to work more hours and/or on a flexible basis. Unfortunately the College cannot support a term time only contract in this role.
