You'll be building on solid HR foundations. The function is well established (and respected). It's a positive and collaborate company culture, one that values its people. Whilst business is good, and it's a highly established organisation, a change in leadership means a new vision for the future, ambitions have been raised, leading to the creation of a major long term strategy to be even better. The People element of the strategy is fundamental to this - which is where you come in.

You'll be able to really drive change and have an impact here. With established HR architecture in place you're not having to start from scratch so you can get on with flexing your strategic and commercial HR muscles to identify where real value can be added. You'll be in at the beginning of the new strategy so can really set the agenda.

You'll lead the HR team across the UK, using your experience and credibility to provide them with the tools and support to be their best and to develop as individuals. That said, this isn't a hierarchical organisation, you'll be someone that enjoys the variety of pivoting between the strategic and the day to day, someone that wants to get their sleeves rolled up and get involved IN the business, not spending all your time in meetings.

This is a multisite manufacturer with c.600 heads across the functions you'd expect (production, distribution, commercial, design and corporate etc). To hit the ground running, you'll have the led the HR function of a similar business as a true generalist. You'll have partnered the leadership team be able to show how you have identified and implemented strategies that have hit the bottom line.

If you are good at getting your point across (and can do so with humility and humour), are forward thinking and can back yourself to make a decision, have a collaborative style and value building solid professional relationships and acting as a coach to get the best from others, then this could be for you.
