An opportunity to join the UK arm of a US investment bank initially on a 12 month contract. Reporting to the HR Director you will provide broad based HR support to a moderate sized audience who have had little HR support previously and hence are not clear as to what good HR looks like. This will be a journey and an opportunity to build relationships and understanding of HR to a real value adding level but will require some sleeves rolled up pragmatism along the way. In what will be a broad based generalist role, typical agendas will include some employee relations and performance management, elements of restructure work and talent acquisition, retention and development.
You should be an experienced HR Manager/Business Partner with prior experience within the Financial Services/Financial Markets sector. Ideally you will also have spent some time operating within a smaller HR function without recourse to centres of excellence and therefore the ability to develop solutions across the whole of the HR spectrum. Initially a 12 month contract, it is anticipated there could be scope for extension or conversion to a permanent appointment. There is also potential to consider the role on a day rate interim basis.
