Starting Salary £39,782 rising to £41,675

 

Are you looking for an exciting opportunity to take the next step in progressing your HR career with an ambitious and forward thinking Council?  We are taking forward a number of major projects in the fields of housing and regeneration and developing a more commercial approach corporately.  Along with a refocus on innovative front line services, Newark and Sherwood is a small Council with big aspirations.  Are you up for the challenge?  

A vacancy has arisen for a suitably experienced and qualified individual to deliver effective and efficient Human Resources Services to the Council and other organisations as required.  With Chartered CIPD status and significant experience of operating at a senior strategic and advisory level, some of which will be in local government, you will have a proven track record of implementing change within a complex unionised organisation.  You will possess excellent communication skills (both written and verbal) and be able to write and present policies and reports to a varied audience.  Managing a small team of HR professionals you will ensure that service delivery is maintained in accordance with agreed timelines and performance standards.
