Director for Civil Service Employee Policy
As part of Civil Service HR, Civil Service Employee Policy (CSEP) provides HR expertise across the Civil Service through expert partnering with departments to deliver tailored HR consultancy, develop model HR policies and inform the strategic direction of the Civil Service.

This role offers an exciting opportunity to play a key role in delivering change and influence how HR policy is developed and implemented across government. You will lead the delivery of people-focused transformation programmes and work with the senior teams to create an environment of empowerment, support and mutual trust.
Our new director will set a compelling vision for our teams, providing clear direction as well as how our work fits into the wider context. You will also lead on the creation of an inclusive culture, ensuring the diverse skills and talents of all are recognised, developed and valued.
The successful candidate will be an inspiring leader, capable of engaging positively to resolve ambiguities and confront issues. Experience in promoting and influencing communication with integrity and impartiality is essential and as you will manage a budget of £7.5m, you will have proven ability in financial processes and the delivery of cost efficiency programmes.
