South West (regional role)
JC7216
Drive the HR Strategy across the south west in a major PLC. Enjoy a positive work culture, a highly commercial environment and HR setup that provides you with both the support and sophistication to get things done and the autonomy to create the right solution for your stakeholders.
You'll partner divisional leadership teams and their diverse populations across the southwest (the region goes from Hampshire to Devon and South Wales). It's a role that gives variety, you'll balance the day to day operational elements eg overseeing case management, ensuring HR policy and process is fit for purpose and being applied appropriately etc with the strategic; defining local strategies that will enhance your population and supporting the development of group level strategies that will impact across entire business.
As a regional lead, you won't be tied to a desk, sat in some HR ivory tower. You will be spending time with your leadership teams and stakeholders across the region. This means you'll be developing relationships with talented people, getting to really understand them and their businesses so that you can come up with people strategies that really make a difference.
It's commercial and rapidly changing environment, one that values new ways of thinking and continuous improvement. If you enjoy taking on business challenges and finding new ways to get results, this is an ideal environment.
You'll be an experienced BP that has strategically partnered senior leaders in a complex organisation that has a mix of white and blue collar populations. Those that come from people intensive, commercial, multisite operations (think the sort of structures that underpin retail, facilities management, built environment, hospitality) are likely to be well suited. Solid academic and professional credentials will underpin your experience and, alongside a solid understanding of legislation, you'll be a strong people developer with a track record in driving performance through talent management and coaching initiatives.
