Description

People Management

* The company point of contact for all HR queries





* Manage all employee relations issues, including, but not limited to, grievance, sickness, and redundancy, liaising with our external employment lawyers as required





* Maintaining a reliable, efficient people-based system





* Keeping up to date with any employee updates and completing all HR paperwork for all aspects of the employee lifecycle





* Setting up of new HR systems and processes which are fit for purpose, in order to enable a self-service culture amongst the management community.





* Providing advice and guidance on the PDR process, disciplinary/grievance, performance management, absence management etc.





* Train, motivate, monitor and coach the junior management population to ensure HR Operational Excellence is achieved and compliance with UK employment law.





* Constantly seek out opportunities to improve systems and procedures.







Operations





* Responsible for the smooth and efficient day to day management of our office





* Leading on the organisation of company and team social events ensuring we recognise and celebrate special occasions including staff birthdays, etc





* Managing our new starter process to ensure new team members feel welcome and have all they need to hit the ground running





* Managing, maintaining and purchasing office supplies, stock and IT equipment





* Overseeing the shared drive ensuring it is easy to use, data is accessible, secure and up to date





* Ensuring we manage data well across the business and are GDPR compliant





* Manage the relationship with our IT, HR. Legal and other business support suppliers





* Assisting with contract drafting, renewals and other legal queries (via our legal advisor)





* Supporting the Finance Manager to ensure we maintain relevant insurance for the business





* Scheduling of Management Team and Board meetings, preparing agendas, ensuring relevant information is collated and available, documenting and sharing minutes / actions





* Managing the business risk log and recording staff sickness and other absences.





* Preparing reports from our time management, accounting and other platforms to support overall efficiency and resource planning.


Profile

* Previous experience in office management, preferably within a creative background





* Someone with a degree background is desirable but not essential





* Previous HR Administration/Advisor exposure





* Excellent attention to detail that doesn't falter when working under pressure





* Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively and build relationships at all levels in the business and with external stakeholders





* Confident and professional in holding team members and SMT accountable for actions and in responding to challenges from others





* Proactive in using initiative to recognise and manage office and employee needs





* A strong natural aptitude with the desire to learn and grow





* A natural team player who can integrate with others at all levels





* CIPD qualified or equivalent or working towards desirable but not essential
