Your new company
Our client SME Bank located in Mayfair are on the search for an experienced HR Operations Manager to join their HR function starting immediately for 12 months starting immediately (to be considered for this role your notice period must not be longer than 1 - 2 weeks maximum).

The successful candidate will report into the Head of HR and will be responsible for all aspects of the full HR Generalist remit and get involved in various HR projects as required. You will develop and execute the Bank's People Plan, acting as a strategic partner to the business and "number 2' to the Head of HR
to support and deliver 'people' initiatives throughout the Bank.

Your new role

* Build and maintain key stakeholder relationships ensuring consistency in approach.
* Challenge and influence current ways of working to drive a positive change and lead improvements across the Bank
* Lead talent and succession planning initiatives for the Bank
* In conjunction with Head of HR, ensure that all the HR Policies and procedures of the Bank are up to date and in line with the current employment law
* Ensuring compliance with Remuneration Policy Statement
* Working with Senior Management and resolving all staff issues and employment relations cases
* Support the Bank in its annual performance cycle including carrying out salary comparisons compiling annual salary and bonus review recommendations
* In consultation with the Senior Management preparing annual staff strength and arranging its approval from the HR&RC
* Oversee Payroll (this does not include line by line monthly checking)
* Completion of Fit and Propriety tests and annual certification of all the Certification Regime Staff
* Oversee all aspects of recruitment including the drafting of JD's contracts working with recruitment agencies.

What you'll need to succeed

* Recent experience working in an SME sized Financial Services organisation in a similar HR Manager role will be a must
* Ability to face ambiguity and change and influence stakeholders of all levels
* Ability to work in and adapt to a fast paced environment where change, resilience and flexibility is key
* Proven ability to apply judgement and decision making in new situations
* Ability to build strong relationships
* Strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to challenge the status quo
* Impact and influence
* Previous experience working in a highly regulated environment, with experience of SMR will be a must.
* Current working knowledge of UK legislation is a must
* Payroll Bureau experience will be highly desirable
